Who We Are

Haro Hotel was inaugurated on 13 January 2024. It is a family hotel owned by Ayele Gelan and managed by his son, Wandimu Ayele. The construction of road B4, passing through Haro and linking the two regional towns, Ambo and Waliso. This rapidly transformed Haro village into bustling rural town, a hotspot of tourist destination. The site of the hotel was a farmhouse belonging to Gelana family when Haro village was a thriving farming community.

The Location

Haro Hotel is located in the heart of Haro Wanchi Rural Town, a few minutes walk to the magnificient Wanchi Lake. It is the first modern tourist hotel in Haro Wanchi. The town is located in the Oromia region, about 145km from Addis Ababa. It is situated about half way between the nearest two regional towns, Ambo to the North West and Waliso to the South East directions. The 65 km Ambo-Waliso road passes through Haro Wanchi. This road has recently been substantially upgraded to asphalt, boosting tourist flow to Haro Wanchi town and Wanchi Lake.
